You may have heard the phrase ‘mindfulness’. Perhaps you wonder what mindfulness is and how it can be beneficial to your life. This workshop will help you to learn what mindfulness is including mindful breathing and mindfulness of the body. Participants will learn how to begin to implement mindfulness into your daily life both formally and informally. This course can be delivered in person or online.

Whether your're a teacher, TA, or administrator, this course can help you to become familiar with the Mental Health Guidelines as well as concrete strategies to ensure your school is meeting this expectation. This course can be delivered in person or online!
This 1.5 hr. workshop will introduce participants to the concept of mindful communication with students. There will be a discussion on restorative practices and the 'circle up' technique to help students express their needs and be more tolerant and understanding of others. Participants will be given concrete strategies on how to implement the 'circle up' technique in their classrooms.
Participate in 4- 30 minute meditation sessions either in person or online that will meet weekly. You will learn the basics in mindfulness meditation practice. Take some time for yourself to learn these strategies. Meditation will last about 20 minutes followed by reflection, questions, and discussion. This is a favorite offering of many. This workshop will consist of learning strategies for slowing down when eating, looking deeply at when and why we eat what we eat, and learn how mindfulness can help you be more aware of the food choices you make. Participants will learn strategies for acknowledging when difficult emotions arise and techniques for how to respond and not react.
